Below are a few photos from this year's gathering at Orlebar Point on Gabriola... 9 of us gathered to 'drum up the sun'... at 6:45 am on, there was lots of activity about... with so many beings who gathered with us... seagulls, oyster catchers, many sea lions lazing about, surf scoters, eagles soaring + circling above and cormorants... thank you all for coming - see ya next year! x (((o))) - photos by weaver...

to get outside together... to engage + welcome a brand new day, welcome + honour the Spring Equinox... plus, to offer our prayers for all the waters all over our sweet mother earth - for, without water, we wouldn't be here...
- we will simply drum in a free way - all welcome, no experience necessary...

We also welcome others, from wherever you are, to mindfully, 'drum up the sun' remotely to help make the circle grow!

What to bring:
- your beautiful souls... (you don't have to drum to attend - join us)...
- your own drums, rattles, instruments, your strong voices, prayers + heart-intentions (i'll bring some extra rattles)...
- also bring a small stone and some colourful fresh flowers to offer a personal gratitude 'despacho' prayer/intention to the sacred waters + goddess/ancestors of mother ocean.. (please no evasive items that can hurt the waters + her beings)...

In 2012, i was invited and honoured to be a part of the Victoria Ayllu Spring Equinox "Drum up the Sun" Ceremony that was held at Island View Beach... and what a stunningly sacred, powerful and beautiful time we shared together (see my photo above) - a ceremony and moment i shall never forget... i was sooo inspired that i was moved to offer a morning 'let's drum up the sun' morning community gathering + ceremony here in Vancouver at beautiful sacred Trout Lake - in the middle of the city!... Again this year in Vancouver we are gathering... sooooo, i'm inviting you all to join us again for our 4th annual.....
